About Mum’s Food
Mum’s Food is a Sydney-based food processing and wholesale company supporting restaurants and hospitality businesses.
We provide high-quality, kitchen-ready ingredients — from pre-cut vegetables to prepared foods, meat, and dry goods — helping kitchens operate efficiently and consistently.
Over 99% of our customers are restaurants, with a small portion supported through home delivery.
Our Story
Mum’s Food was founded in March 2011 in Artarmon, Sydney, starting with just three people and one delivery van.
Originally a central kitchen for our own restaurant group, we quickly grew as our products became known for their quality and ease of use.
Today, we are a team of over 50, supporting more than 250 business partners across Sydney.
In 2021, we moved to a larger facility in Lane Cove, where we continue to grow.
Our Mission & Responsibility
Since day one, we’ve had a clear purpose:
To stand behind restaurants as part of their kitchen.
We support daily preparation and work side by side with our partners, becoming a natural extension of their operations. Today, more than 250 restaurants trust us — and we take that responsibility seriously.
We know that consistency matters. That’s why we are committed to delivering safe, reliable products, without disruption, every day.
Our Commitment to People
We believe that keeping our business running also means protecting the people behind it.
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, we chose not to carry out any layoffs, because our team has always been at the heart of what we do.
Our workforce is made up of people from all walks of life,
including senior employees. We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can feel valued, find stability,
and look ahead with confidence.
This is a responsibility we carry not only to our customers,
but also to our people.
Social Responsibility
As a company of over 270 people, we strive to create a positive impact — not only through our business, but through the people behind it.
We support our local community through charitable initiatives and by creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
We also contribute to the industry through educational programs and seminars, sharing knowledge and supporting future growth.
Through these efforts, we aim to support not only our customers, but the wider community as well.
